PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
START AND FINISH AREA
The start and finish area is located at Fiskehuskajen, Skagen Harbour.
The 5 km and 10 km races have a separate start area on Vestre Strandvej, by the Harbour Master's Residence.
Timing is recorded using a chip attached to your race number. Your race number must be clearly visible on the front of your upper body.
Start entrances: Elite runners use the elite entrance next to the announcer's tower. Start Group A uses the entrance in the middle. Start Groups B, C, etc. use the rear entrance. Your start group is shown on your race number.
GETTING TO AND FROM THE EVENT
The start and finish area is centrally located in Skagen. If possible, we recommend walking to the area to help reduce unnecessary traffic and congestion.
If you are arriving by car, parking is available in several locations, including behind Skagen Town Hall, at SuperBrugsen, at Skagen Culture and Leisure Centre and in the area around Skolevej.
By public transport:
Skagen Station is approximately 750 metres from the start and finish area. Skagen Culture and Leisure Centre, where you collect your race number and T-shirt, is also approximately 750 metres from the station.
AID STATIONS
Aid stations are located approximately every 5 kilometres (except on the Grenen Trail – please see the route map for aid station locations).
The locations of the aid stations are marked on the route maps. At the aid stations, you will find water, energy drinks, fruit and other snacks to give you renewed energy. Toilets are also available at all aid stations.
There will also be an aid station in the finish area, where water, soft drinks and fruit will be available.
BAGGAGE STORAGE
Free baggage storage is available just behind the entrance to the start and finish area. The baggage tent is located in the Town Hall car park.
Your baggage must be packed in one bag or other suitable piece of luggage.
The detachable tag on your race number showing your name and race number must be attached to your baggage with a cable tie before handing it in.
You can drop off your baggage from 9:15 AM.
The baggage tent will be staffed throughout the race.
SHOWERS AND CHANGING FACILITIES
Free showers and changing facilities are available at Skagen Culture and Leisure Centre from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
FIRST AID
First aid staff equipped with a defibrillator will be present in the start and finish area.

When you cross the finish line, you will receive:

WASTE
Spar Skagen has sponsored new waste containers for bottles, making it easier to sort them correctly. Please remember to use them.
CERTIFICATES
After the race, you will receive a link where you can download your certificate. You can also find it on sportstiming.dk under the event.
RESULTS
Your result will be available on sportstiming.dk under the event once you have crossed the finish line.
Results will also be available afterwards at www.skagenmarathon.dk under “Participant List and Results”.
PRIZES
The award ceremonies will take place in the finish area. Please see the programme for the scheduled times.
Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each distance for each gender.
There will be a prize draw for participants in the Walk & Talk Half Marathon.
CHILDREN – 5 KM
Children participating in the 5 km race are divided into two age groups: 5–9 years and 10–14 years.
Please note that participants can only win a prize in the age category in which they are registered. A child cannot win a prize in an adult category even if their finishing time is faster.
Children are, however, welcome to register in the adult category (15+), in which case they compete on equal terms with the other runners in that category.
WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE FINISH AREA
Skagen Marathon is about much more than the kilometres on the course – both runners and spectators can enjoy the atmosphere in the event area before, during and after the race.
In the finish area, runners will receive their medals, award ceremonies will take place, and you can take photos at the photo wall.
You can also explore our partners' food stalls and enjoy something delicious to eat, or visit Pakhuset in the large tent or the coffee truck for something to drink while enjoying the atmosphere.
You can also visit SPORT24's stand, where you will find samples and a great selection of running gear. You can also exchange your unused Skagen Marathon T-shirt for another size, subject to availability.
This year, Skagen Marathon also coincides with Lyserød Lørdag (Pink Saturday), which Skagen Handelsstandsforening will be marking in the event area. Here you can buy raffle tickets, support a good cause and enter the draw to win a range of great prizes.
So make sure to stay around after crossing the finish line – there will be plenty of activity and a great atmosphere in the event area!
PRACTICAL INFORMATION FOR CHILDREN, PARENTS AND PARTICIPANTS WITH STROLLERS
All participants who take part in the race must wear a race number, regardless of age. This means that young children must also be registered and pay the entry fee.
At the finish line, we do not distinguish between adults and children – everyone receives a medal and refreshments. It is therefore important that everyone taking part is registered so that we have enough for all participants.
All participants in the 5 km race start at the same time, allowing parents and children to run together. For the award ceremony, however, we distinguish between the two children's age categories and the adult category.
Strollers are not prohibited, but we ask that they are only brought if necessary and kept to a minimum. For the safety and consideration of other runners, participants with strollers should start at the back of the field and keep to the right along the route.

DOGS
As Skagen Marathon has grown significantly over the past few years, we unfortunately have to ask participants not to bring dogs on any of the race routes. This is for the safety and consideration of both participants and dogs.
REMEMBER CANCELLATION INSURANCE
When purchasing a race entry, Sportstiming offers the option to add cancellation insurance, allowing the entry fee to be refunded in certain circumstances, including acute illness or injury.
Race entries cannot be transferred to the following year.
If the event is sold out, you can offer your race entry for resale through the resale portal, which will be available under the event on sportstiming.dk.
